MA DOR issues new record retention requirements

This week the MA Department of Revenue released their latest update on the keeping of tax records for anyone collecting sales taxes, including those who use Point of Sale (POS) systems.  According to their summary, “Every person required by statute, regulation, letter ruling, technical information release or by instructions applicable to a tax form, to keep a copy of a return, schedule, statement or other document, must keep such copy as part of his records”, under 830 CMR 62C.25.1.  Click here for the summary.
